Kids & Youth
God welcomes all. That means you! And so do we. At Second Reformed, we offer age-specific programs where kids and teens can explore faith, build friendships, and experience God’s love in everyday life.

Our Second Kids program is designed for students in grades 2–5. Middle School (grades 6–8) and High School (grades 9–12) groups dive deeper through engaging Scripture, meaningful conversation, and hands-on experiences that connect faith to real life.
​
You don’t need to attend SRC on Sundays to be part of any group—everyone is welcome. We’re here to grow together in a community of love, learning, and belonging.
High School
Grades 9 - 12
​
High School Youth Group meets on Sundays from 2:30 - 4:00 pm during the school year.
It’s a relaxed, welcoming space where students can bring their questions, have honest conversations, and deepen friendships.

Our time together is less structured than Middle School—designed to create room for thoughtful discussion and connection. We talk about current events and what's happening in the world around us, always asking: Where is God in the midst of it all?

Middle School & High School Dates

Middle School
Grades 6 - 8

Middle School Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings from 6 - 7:30 pm during the school year.
We start with a simple meal—because as Jesus showed us, meaningful things happen around a table. For us, that often means pizza and warm chocolate chip cookies!
​
After we eat, we might play a game or share in a short time of musical worship before diving into Scripture together. We explore God’s Word in creative, engaging ways—through short teachings, videos, small group conversations, drama, and art.
We know everyone learns and participates differently, so we create space for all kinds of brains and bodies to be involved and feel at home.

Second Kids
Grades 2 -5

Second Kids meets Wednesday afternoons from 3:45-5:15pm. Our time together is a rotation of movies, field trips in town, games, and art projects. We hope that this time strengthens relationships among your kids and also between your kids and us pastors by creating shared experiences as well as space for fun and play together.

Children
Infants - Grade 1
​
Children are always welcome and valued in worship! We offer a clean, well-staffed nursery for infants and toddlers. Partway through the service, kids are invited up front for a short “Children’s Time.” Afterwards, children ages 3 through first grade may go to Children and Worship, a special, age-appropriate worship experience.
We also love the sounds and wiggles of kids in the sanctuary—don’t worry if your little one is active!

Youth Groups
At Second Reformed Church, everyone is welcome—no exceptions. That’s the spirit of our Youth Groups, too. With different groups for grades 2 -5 (Second Kids), Middle School (grades 6 - 8), and High School (grades 9 - 12), Youth Group is a place where we explore the God of radical love and welcome and how we can reflect that love in our everyday lives. Through engagement with scripture, real friendships, and meaningful connections with the world around us, we grow together in faith. You don’t have to attend SRC on Sundays to be part of it—just come as you are!
