FALL START UPS:
September brings the start up of many groups and activities:
Sunday School for ages three through adult begins on September 12.
The Morning Men’s Group will reconvene of Tuesday, September 7, from 7-7:45 AM in the Fireside Lounge. The group is a very low key time of fellowship and coffee.
Second Fridays at Second, our monthly organ recital with Davis Folkerts, begins a new season on Friday, September 10, 12:05-12:45 PM.
LOGOS (Greek for “The Word”) is our Wednesday after-school ministry for children in grades 2 though 8. This year, we begin on September 15 and will continue on Wednesdays into November. The children are picked up at school and stay through a family dinner at 6 PM.
Adult Sunday School Options:
Mary Nilsen, one of the artists of our current exhibit, “Nude Truths” will be with us on Sunday, September 12, during the Sunday School hour, down in Fellowship Hall. Come hear from the artist herself about this provocative exhibit.
The following Sunday, September 19, the group who went on the Mission/Service Trip to Minneapolis this summer will be sharing about the time. The reports from work groups always prove to be inspiring and informative.
On Sunday, September 26, a study-discussion group, “The Grace, The Gore, and The Glory - The Three Sides of Jesus” will begin for five consecutive weeks. Michelle De Bruin, our intern student from Central College will lead the group. This is a topic that she has studied and has a special interest in.
